To learn what your hand needs to know and to get repetitions, I've animated some grip moves. This one deals with the fingers on adjacent strings. It trains your hand to move across the strings. Each one is looped forever and incrementally get faster. Make sure you can do one smoothly before you move on. Practice by doing it with and without a wrist bounce. This is the (0.0) grip. The first number is how many strings between your thumb and first finger. The second number is how many strings between your first and second finger. This number system helps you train your hand and mind together to pick theses grips instantly.

This shows you grip 0.0 moving across the strings one position at a time. The position is the string your thumb is on. The speed is set at 100. Speed is based upon nothing due to the fact that each computer will move them differently.

The speed is set at 75. Don't try it this fast until you can do it at the above speed. The same rule applies for all.

The speed above is set at 50.

The speed above is set at 25.

Once you understand and can make all of these positions with grip 0.0 I can start to show you how we can use these to play crossover licks much easier.
